On 23 February 2026 the Dutch guitarist and singer Julian Sas will play at the Meisenfrei Blues Club in Bremen. Since the mid-1990s he has shaped the European blues-rock scene with his eponymous power trio. Rooted in electric blues and the rock of the 1960s and 1970s, his live range spans driving boogie, earthy ballads and heavier riffs, with plenty of room for improvisation and long, narrative guitar runs.
His repertoire mixes original songs and reinterpretations of genre classics. Studio and live albums such as For The Lost and Found (2004) and Bound To Roll (2012) chart a move toward a more melodic blues-rock without giving up the rough edge. On stage, interplay is paramount: the trio picks up the tempo, lets parts breathe and shifts transitions spontaneously. A set that forgoes frills and relies on tone, timing and attitude—direct, powerful and true to what blues-rock lives for on stage.
