Info
On February 1, 2026, Matt Andersen plays the Molson Canadian Centre in Moncton, alongside Mariel Buckley. The New Brunswick-born singer and guitarist has built a path between North American and European blues circuits. His songs pull from blues, folk, soul and roots rock, often on acoustic guitar, with writing grounded in everyday stories and rural backdrops. From Second Time Around and Coal Mining Blues to Weightless, Honest Man and The Big Bottle of Joy, he keeps refining a direct, song-first approach. On stage, he shifts naturally from solo intimacy to the warmth of a full band.
Mariel Buckley comes from Calgary’s alt-country scene with a sound that leans into Americana and indie-tinged country. Her records Driving In The Dark and Everywhere I Used To Be sketch night roads and off-beat identities, carried by mid-tempo grooves, slightly saturated guitars and a deep, unvarnished voice. Live, she moves between stripped-down storytelling and electric contours.
