Servando & Florentino
Born in Caracas, Servando & Florentino bring together brothers Servando Primera and Florentino Primera, who first appeared in the Venezuelan salsa scene as part of Salserín between 1993 and 1997. This initial period placed them in a pop salsa aimed at a broad Latin audience, before they continued as a duo with a more open repertoire, between Latin pop, ballad, salsa and touches of rock in Spanish. Servando & Florentino launch their joint career with Los Primera in 1997, then follow with Muchacho Solitario in 1999 and Paso a Paso in 2000, in a phase marked by links with the entourage of Ricardo Montaner and by a strong movement between music, television and cinema in Latin America. Their album Servando & Florentino appears in 2004, followed by It’s a Wrap / Se Acabó in 2010. The duo is part of a family tradition linked to the heritage of Alí Primera, while developing a more sentimental and radio-friendly writing, carried by tight vocal harmonies and arrangements that alternate Caribbean rhythms, pop melodies and romantic ballads. After a period of relative quiet on the discographic front, Servando & Florentino resume live activity and publish new titles in the 2020s, including «Mi primera cita» in 2023."},{
