Info
On March 9, 2027, at La Bellevilloise, Jonah Kagen will perform his intimate folk on stage, propelled by a slender yet nervous guitar and songwriting that goes straight to the heart. Originally from Savannah, Georgia, he belongs to the old-school singer-songwriter lineage, with a taste for intimate narratives and melodies that linger, in the spirit of Townes Van Zandt or Jason Isbell. He first came to prominence in the United States with 'God Needs the Devil,' and since then he has broadened his format without losing his immediacy. After 'Sunflowers and Leather,' his debut album born on American roads, written along the roads and landscapes he has encountered, he continues with 'Eternity of Anything,' a more inward record where he pushes autonomy to the point of handling everything himself, from writing to mixing. In live performance, this balance between confession and collective energy takes on a new dimension: songs conceived as emotional snapshots, a warm voice, and that eye for detail that keeps a song alive on three chords and a good deal of honesty.
