Info
Vive la Fête was founded in Ghent in 1997 by Els Pynoo and Danny Mommens. Their blend of electronic music, new wave, guitars, and French-language vocals quickly found an audience well beyond Belgium. Albums such as République Populaire and Nuit Blanche brought the group international recognition. Songs such as Je Ne Veux Pas, Touche Pas, Maquillage, and Noir Désir have long been staples of their live performances.
Over the years, Vive la Fête has extensively toured Europe and has performed in Russia, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, and elsewhere in Latin America. The group also drew closer to the fashion world after catching the attention of Karl Lagerfeld. They have thus performed at Chanel events and at international fashion shows. On stage, Els and Danny are surrounded by a full band. Electronic music and synthesizers meet drums, bass, and guitar there.
In 2026, Vive la Fête celebrated its history with Vive l’Archive: 30 Years of Celebration, a 272-page book drawn from the band’s extensive personal archives. In 2027, at the Élysée Montmartre, Vive la Fête places Nuit Blanche at the center of its concerts. Released in 2003, the album played a significant role in the group’s international breakthrough. Le Tour Blanche 2027 revisits Nuit Blanche, with tracks spanning almost three decades of Vive la Fête.
Potochkine is a Paris-based electronic duo that blends EBM, darkwave, techno, and theatrical performance. Formed in the mid-2010s by two artists from theatre and performing arts, Potochkine stands out for its ability to transform its concerts into immersive rituals, pairing dance, narration, and raw physical energy.
Their first EP, Libérez votre imagination (2016), revealed their dark, poetic aesthetic, followed by Potochkine (2018) and the album Sortilèges (2021). Their sound couples pulsating EBM rhythms, synthpunk intensity, and coldwave atmospheres, all contrasted by French-language vocals, spoken or sung, exploring various dualities: shadow and light, love and anger, body and mind. The duo’s theatrical live presence and striking visual identity have earned them invitations to festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen and Amphi Festival. Recent singles, such as Endorphines and BI, continue to enrich their sonic universe.
