Madra Salach land in Cork on December 18, 2026 at Cyprus Avenue with the kind of Irish folk that’s made to be played loud and close to the crowd. Born in Dublin in 2023, the band sit right where trad meets contemporary songwriting: story-led ballads, familiar melodic shapes, and that band push that turns a song into a proper moment.
Originally started as a trio before growing into a six-piece, Madra Salach built their sound the old way, onstage in pubs and small rooms, then carried it onto Irish festival line-ups like All Together Now and Electric Picnic. Expect fiddles-and-folk textures rubbing up against a more modern sense of dynamics, with tunes that move between narrative tradition and a present-tense, urban energy. With singles like “Blue & Gold” and “I Was Just A Boy” behind them and the 2026 EP It’s a Hell of an Age in the bag, this Cork date is a snapshot of a band still in motion.
