Info
Beth Orton returns to Paris on February 17, 2027, at La Maroquinerie, with her signature blend of intimate folk crossing with electronic textures. Since the 1990s, the British artist has crafted songs that keep the acoustic guitar at the forefront, while also allowing downtempo rhythms and a subtly synthetic production to emerge, carried by a hushed voice and direct writing.
From the folktronica phase of Trailer Park and Central Reservation to the leaner textures of Comfort of Strangers, she has always moved between alternative pop, folk and electronic without choosing a side. On stage, one can expect a set that traverses these different periods, with a taste for refined arrangements, refrains without grandstanding, and a soft tension between the organic and the machines.
