Elena Tonra steps out again as Ex:Re, bringing her own brand of intimate songwriting to Resident Music in Brighton on October 31, 2026. Known to many as Daughter’s singer and guitarist, she uses Ex:Re as a more direct space: voice upfront, guitar close, and arrangements that leave room for silence as much as melody. This Halloween set is announced as stripped-back, the kind of performance where the details land differently and the songs breathe without a full-band frame.
It also marks the arrival of her second Ex:Re album, Save As, following Daughter’s Stereo Mind Games era. Expect a sound shaped by thoughtful, organic writing and inventive production, sitting somewhere between indie rock, alternative folk and atmospheric pop. Alongside the live set, there’s a signing, a chance to meet the artist behind these quietly cutting songs and take the record home the day after its release.
