Dexys Midnight Runners lands at L'Élysée Montmartre in Paris on October 11, 2026, to dive back into what has defined its singularity: an edgy pop nourished by soul, new wave, and Celtic folk, driven by Kevin Rowland's writing and this singing sensibility inherited from Northern Soul. Formed in Birmingham in 1978, the group defined the 1980s with a string of Top 10 hits, including the classics Geno and Come On Eileen, and three albums that, in themselves, map their successive shifts: Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, Too-Rye-Ay, and Don’t Stand Me Down. Around Rowland, Dexys has always been a fluid outfit, changing its look as much as its sound: taut brass, strings, Irish inflections, more sophisticated storytelling... Having become Dexys in the 2000s, the project has continued to move forward, notably with One Day I'm Going to Soar (2012) and The Feminine Divine (2023). On stage, it is this trajectory, between hits and reinventions, that comes back to life.
