Info
On October 17, 2026, at Petit Bain in Paris, Sparta comes to defend Cut A Silhouette, an album conceived as a trace to leave, between heritage and a restart. Led by Jim Ward, the trio rekindles a direct urgency, angular guitars, and that sense of a dark refrain that has defined its identity since the earliest days. Recorded quickly and without frills with J. Robbins, the album leans on spontaneity and the band's collective spirit, with a more collaborative writing approach without sacrificing Sparta's identity. On stage, one can expect a set that links the post-hardcore energy of the Wiretap Scars era to a more open, live-oriented approach, where tension and melody move forward together. Opening act Hammock brings a different tempo: the Nashville duo unfurls long swaths of guitars and ambient textures between post-rock and shoegaze. A music of depth and atmosphere, built on slow, cinematic progressions, ideal for establishing a mood before Sparta's more nerve-fueled onslaught.
