On February 27, 2027, Gilla Band land at Vicar Street in Dublin with the kind of set built for tight rooms and loud air. Formed in the city in 2011 (first known as Girl Band before switching names in 2021), the quartet shape their songs around repetition and pressure: pounding drums, clipped bass lines, dissonant guitar figures and those half-spoken, cracked vocal bursts that sit right on the edge.
Live, their post-punk and noise-rock DNA comes through in loops, sudden left turns and riffs that feel more like patterns than hooks. Tracks stretch, grind and snap back into place, with industrial and electronic shades creeping into the noise. Expect something physical and tense rather than polished, a show where rhythm does the heavy lifting and the songs hit like short, nervous shocks.
