Info
DeVotchKa land in London at Heaven on October 9, 2026, bringing their shape-shifting indie cabaret to the stage, with support. Born from Denver’s late-’90s underground, the band built its own language: indie rock stretched by Eastern European folk, mariachi touches, Balkan swings and a theatrical, cabaret-like feel. Live, that mix turns into something richly arranged and constantly in motion, where tempo changes and orchestral colors matter as much as the hooks.
Centered around Nick Urata’s unmistakable voice, DeVotchKa lean into strings, brass and lurching rhythms that can flip from intimate to wide-screen in a few bars. If you know their arc from SuperMelodrama and How It Ends to the more focused This Night Falls Forever, this show is a chance to hear how those melodies and moods translate in real time: bittersweet, restless, and built for the room.
