Frozen Soul bring their Fort Worth brand of glacial death metal to XOYO Birmingham on February 5, 2027. Built on massive mid-tempo riffs, thick grooves and that cold, repetitive atmosphere rooted in 90s death metal, the band turns heaviness into a steady, crushing push rather than a sprint. Since the early releases and Encased in Ice, then Crypt of Ice and the more expansive Glacial Domination, Frozen Soul have sharpened a sound that’s slow, blunt and perfectly locked in, with lyrics steeped in isolation and survival imagery.
Darkest Hour join the bill with their long-running blend of metalcore and melodic death metal, forged in Washington, D.C. since 1995. Expect fast guitar work, Swedish-style harmonies, and hardcore bite in the vocals and rhythm section, shaped through landmark records like Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation, Undoing Ruin, Deliver Us, and more recently Perpetual Terminal.
