Friendly Fires are finally returning to France to play, on January 29, 2027 at La Maroquinerie in Paris, with a new album in tow. After nearly a decade spent getting back to work, Ed Macfarlane and Edd Gibson are relaunching the machine with Dig Deeper, an album that reconnects the band with what they do best: clear melodies, hooky guitars, and rhythms crafted for movement, while letting in something more direct and instinctive.
In this new material, you can hear the band's indie-dance DNA, fed as much by post-punk heritage as by a club culture that is more Balearic and nu-rave: grooves that loop, warmer percussion, and backing vocals that open up space. On stage, Friendly Fires promises a set that alternates new tracks and songs that have become classics, with that physical and electric energy that bridges pop, indie, and the dancefloor.
