On May 13, 2027, in Bordeaux, Cock Robin returns to the stage with a date at Casino Barrière, an opportunity to revisit the group born in San Francisco at the dawn of the 1980s. At the heart of the project is Peter Kingsbery’s songwriting, blending pop rock and new wave, propelled by expansive keyboards, crisp guitars, and a penchant for melodies that stick in the mind.
The concert should bridge the heyday of the trio of Cock Robin albums (Cock Robin, 1985), After Here Through Midland (1987) and First Love: Last Rites (1989), and the continuation of a story rekindled since the 2000s. Today, the lineup has reinvented itself around Kingsbery, with a France-based version and a renewed vocal dynamic, notably with the arrival of Coralie Vuillemin. From I Don’t Want to Save the World to Homo Alien, Cock Robin extends its signature: direct melodic pop, between rock ballads and more atmospheric arrangements.
