Tame Impala comes to Rotterdam Ahoy on June 7, 2027, with the Deadbeat Tour. Kevin Parker builds his songs layer by layer: psychedelic pop that fans out into electronics and club rhythms, but always carried by melody and that distinctive, dreamy glow. Live, that solo material gains extra muscle: tight drums, smooth basslines, and guitar parts that can float as well as cut. Expect plenty of space for the new album Deadbeat, alongside touchpoints from InnerSpeaker, Lonerism, Currents and The Slow Rush, all with the precise production Parker himself tinkers with so much.
Wet Leg will also be playing in Rotterdam, with their dry, half-spoken vocals and guitars that move straight ahead. Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers make indie rock that balances between post-punk and pop: short, punchy tracks, sharp riffs and refrains that stick quickly. On stage, there’s extra momentum, with a band lineup that makes the songs sound a touch rougher and bigger.
