On March 26, 2027, Sylvie Vartan sets down her suitcases at Le Pin Galant in Mérignac with Ma Vie en Chanson, with Vous… An evening designed as a journey through a repertoire that has accompanied several decades of French pop, from the yé-yé beginnings at the dawn of the 1960s to the more orchestrated songs of the 70s and 80s. Born in Bulgaria and arriving in Paris as a child, Vartan established herself early with a twist and rock ’n’ roll energy, then followed with titles that have become touchstones: Panne d’essence, La plus belle pour aller danser, Comme un garçon, La Maritza, 2 min 35 de bonheur, or Irrésistiblement. On stage, she links the melodic efficiency of the 45‑rpm era with a broader writing, nourished by arrangements, pop variety, and a touch of soul. This concert resembles a recontextualization of her history in song, brought as close as possible to her voice, to the rhythm and to what has made her signature: direct, taut pop, and highly stage-driven.
