The Slackers have been a touchstone for ska, reggae, and New York soul since 1991. Lauded by the New York Times as the sound of New York, the band has released 16 albums, five EPs, and performed thousands of concerts around the world. Still active, The Slackers marked 2025 with the EP Money Is King, the compilation Lost and Found Vol. 2, and the tribute single My Last Star. Their 2022 album Don't Let the Sunlight Fool Ya marked their first entry on the Billboard charts. The band continues to fill venues and international festivals, and plans 80 concerts worldwide in 2026.
