Orishas

Orishas returns to the Bataclan in Paris on October 3, 2026. Born in Havana in the late 1990s, the group crafted a distinctive Cuban rap where urban flow mixes with son, rumba, guajira and Afro-Cuban percussion. Fronted by Yotuel Romero, Roldán González and Ruzzo Medina, the trio plays on a balance between everyday chronicles, diasporic identity and musical memory, with sung choruses that anchor the songs in the island’s tradition.

On stage, that alchemy gains depth: rap vocals and singing interweave, polyrhythms and congas reinforce the bass, and samples converse with organic arrangements. With nods to their beginnings on A Lo Cubano, echoes of Emigrante and El Kilo, and more recent tracks, the set spans the Orishas spectrum without being stuck in nostalgia. You’ll find classics like 537 C.U.B.A., songs where rumba slips into the break, choruses answering the MCs, and themes of exile and belonging delivered as memorable hooks. A live show that blends rhythmic energy and storytelling, between Cuban tradition and global hip-hop.
