World News, an indie new wave outfit from London, lines up tense, melodic tracks. Clean guitars, cold basslines, drum machines and synths that weave between the parts. In their DNA are echoes of The Smiths, Nation of Language and The Cure, with measured lead vocals and effortlessly catchy backing vocals. Precise songwriting, a minimal groove, insistent riffs and understated but memorable choruses: a straight‑ahead new wave designed for the stage.
Terra Twin, also London‑based and signed to Dance To The Radio, pushes an alt‑rock sound with expansive guitars, dry drums and rounded basslines, with builds placed at just the right moments. Between post‑punk tension and luminous melodies, the band delivers songs that grow in intensity without overplaying, propelled by a clear, direct vocal. A more organic counterpoint to the evening’s cold tone, they bring breadth and effective choruses. The two share the bill on 27 May 2026 at Supersonic, Paris.
