The HU bring their Warrior Chant Tour to Birmingham on 8 October 2026 at O2 Academy Birmingham. Formed in Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian band calls its blend hunnu rock: throat-singing fused with traditional instruments and amplified weight. Morin khuur and tovshuur lines thread through heavy riffs and steady alt-metal pulses, while collective vocals echo melodies shaped by the steppe. Tracks like Yuve Yuve Yu and Wolf Totem made their name; albums The Gereg and Rumble of Thunder fixed a signature that also opened doors to collaborations with figures from the rock and metal world.
Also on the bill, SKÁLD channels a Nordic-leaning neofolk led by composer-producer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet. Percussion, bowed and plucked strings, and layered voices carry lyrics in Old Norse and other Scandinavian languages, drawing on myths, sagas and folklore. From Vikings Chant and Vikings Memories to Huldufólk, the project reframes ancient sources in a contemporary sound, crossing paths with audiences from folk, metal and traditional scenes.
