The Proclaimers play O2 Apollo, Manchester, on 23 October 2026. Formed in 1983 by twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, the Scottish duo blend folk rock, roots and pop with a lean, punk‑tinged edge. Their hallmarks are close two‑part harmonies and plainspoken songwriting, carried by a distinctive Scots accent. On stage, they move easily from the intimacy of their original acoustic setup to the drive of a full band.
Their catalogue runs deep. This Is the Story (1987) and Sunshine on Leith (1988) introduced Letter from America, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Sunshine on Leith. The path continued through Hit the Highway, the return of Persevere (2001), Born Innocent (2003) with Edwyn Collins, then Life with You (2007), Notes & Rhymes (2009), Like Comedy (2012), Angry Cyclist (2018) and Dentures Out (2022). Expect a set drawn from across four decades, balancing recent material with the songs that first put them on the map.
