Rush « Fifty Something Tour »

Rush brings the Fifty Something Tour to OVO Hydro in Glasgow on 10 March 2027. Formed in Toronto in 1968, the Canadian trio shaped a sound where hard rock meets progressive construction and, at times, heavy metal. Stabilised from 1974 around Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart, the band moved from the blues-inflected debut Rush to the conceptual scope of 2112 and the focused punch of Moving Pictures. In the 80s, keyboards and new wave textures coloured Signals, before a gradual return to guitar-driven dynamics with Vapor Trails and Clockwork Angels.

On stage, this tour leans into long-form storytelling and precise rhythmic shifts, drawing across decades of material. The set moves between taut riffs, intricate bass and synth lines, and a clear melodic thread that runs from expansive suites to concise rockers. Fifty Something places the different eras side by side: early grit, synth-tinged exploration and later momentum, assembled into a career-spanning show that maps the evolution of Rush’s music without leaning on nostalgia.
