Bastille takes over Cardiff Castle on 10 July 2026. Formed in London around singer and songwriter Dan Smith before becoming a quartet with Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson and Chris Wood, the band moves between indie pop, synth-pop and alternative rock, with narrative lyrics and clean electronic textures. From Bad Blood and the breakout single Pompeii to Wild World, Doom Days and Give Me the Future, Bastille has shaped a catalogue that balances big choruses with a taste for cinematic imagery. Their recent record, &, leans more acoustic and character-driven, a contrast that feeds a live show where early staples and newer tracks sit side by side.
Special guest Sofia Camara opens with a contemporary pop built on intimate songwriting and melodic hooks. Born in the Azores and raised in Toronto, she launched with Never Be Yours in 2022 before a run of singles leading to her 2025 EPs Was I(t) Worth It? and Hard to Love. Her songs circle vulnerability, breakups and self-affirmation, carried by a clear, upfront voice.
British artist Arthur Hill completes the bill, adding a stripped-back, song-first touch to the evening’s lineup at Cardiff Castle, Cardiff.
