Info

Dodgy bring their melodic, guitar-bright take on British rock to Rescue Rooms, Nottingham, on 10 May 2026. Formed in west London in 1990 by Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller, the band grew alongside the britpop wave without being boxed in by it, blending power pop drive with alternative edges and a knack for well-crafted choruses. Their early run set the tone with The Dodgy Album, then Homegrown and Free Peace Sweet, the era that delivered Staying Out for the Summer, Good Enough and If You’re Thinking of Me.

After a detour at the turn of the 2000s, the original trio reunited in 2007 and opened a new chapter with Stand Upright in a Cool Place in 2012 and What Are We Fighting For in 2016. On stage today, they play as a quartet with Stuart Thoy on bass, a setup that sharpens the harmonies and lets the guitars breathe. Expect a set that reconnects the dots between the 90s staples and later cuts, with songs built on clear melodies, warm vocal blends and a steady, unfussy groove. Three decades in, Dodgy still chase that direct, tuneful line that made their name, and they carry it with the ease of a band that knows where its songs land best.
