Elvis Costello & The Imposters hit Iveagh Gardens in Dublin on July 5, 2026. Costello arrives with a catalogue tailor-made for the stage, born in the fever of 1970s pub rock and new wave before broadening his palette to soul, country and more understated orchestral arrangements. Charlie Sexton opens the evening. A guitarist and singer formed in Austin, he has shifted from his early new wave roots toward a more organic blues rock, marked by Texan roots and a dry, groovy touch. Having passed through Arc Angels, the studio scene and long tours alongside Bob Dylan, he arrives with a clean sound, clear melodic lines and songwriting that hits the mark. An American troubadour between blues, rock and modern folk, built for the road and for live performance.
