French 79, the moniker of Marseille producer Simon Henner, takes over the Dock des Suds in Marseille on April 3, 2027. Born out of the wake of the electro‑rock trio Nasser, his solo project carves a clear path: melodic electronics where synth‑pop, slowed house, a motorik pulse and cinematic atmospheres intersect. On stage he lets his pieces breathe with layers of keyboards, steady rhythms and progressions that rise unhurriedly, conceived as much for listening as for movement. Olympic, Joshua and then Teenagers feed the set, with tracks often instrumental but built like songs — clear themes, precise breaks and lines that stick in the mind. The live show navigates between concert format and club energy, carried by a keen sense of arrangement and a solid grounding in Marseille’s scene. It’s an opportunity to enter his repertoire through texture, pulse and melody, without unnecessary effects — just the essentials.
