Kid Francescoli

Kid Francescoli, aka Mathieu Hocine, sets up his synths at l’Espace Julien in Marseille on December 5, 2026. Based in the city from the start, he has developed an electronic pop tinged with dream pop, where supple rhythms and luminous keyboards sit alongside weightless vocals. Born in the early 2000s, the project gradually shifted from intimate, synth-based songwriting toward a more outward-looking pop, marked by his collaboration with singer Julia Minkin on With Julia. That phase cemented a taste for airy melodic lines and a more upfront vocal delivery, continued on Play Me Again, straddling electronic indie pop and disco or Balearic hues. More recently, Sunset Blue established a contemplative atmosphere without relinquishing its danceable drive.

On stage, Kid Francescoli performs this repertoire with a more organic lineup, letting his tracks breathe between electronic pulses, warm rounded basslines and washes of synth. The songs gain depth, alternating pop flights and suspended moments, with careful attention to texture and dynamics. A live set designed to navigate between a hushed club and nocturnal daydreaming, at the crossroads of dance and intimacy.
