Darkside

Darkside will be in residence at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris on 8 and 9 July 2026 for a residency of four concerts spread over two evenings. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, joined by drummer-percussionist Tlacael Esparza, will unfold their blend of electronic music, psychedelic rock and slowed-down blues in open formats designed for live exploration.

Formed in 2011 and expanded from a duo to a trio on stage, Darkside focuses on texture: stretched guitars, vocals in half-light, minimalist rhythms and subterranean pulses. After a run of concerts in Los Angeles in autumn 2025, the group refined a residency setup—intimate and adaptable—where pieces transform, slide into one another and draw from the full repertoire, from the atmospheres of Psychic to the long wanderings of Spiral. In Paris, this format continues: a practice of improvisation, variation and branching, carried by a more organic, mobile rhythm section. Four occasions to hear Darkside up close, in a configuration that prioritizes listening, flexibility and movement.
