Thomas Fersen - Comme on quitte un imperméable

Thomas Fersen returns to the stage with Comme on quitte un imperméable, a new chapter in his art of sung storytelling. On 7 October 2026 at La Scala in Paris, he unfolds his tales in chiaroscuro, populated by loquacious animals, antiheroes and battered memories. One finds his precise pen, his taste for imagery, his rhymes that deliberately wobble and then land cleanly, and his refrains with simple melodies. With a guitar and ukulele slung over his shoulder, Fersen plays with tempos and a spoken-sung delivery to bring his characters to life, between skewed nursery rhymes and street‑corner chronicles.

From the early days of Le Bal des oiseaux to his excursions with The Ginger Accident, he has carved out a singular path, close to storytelling, attentive to detail and to passing silhouettes. Here, he strips his songs down to better tell them, sheds his armor while keeping the mischief, the rhythm and the craft. An evening focused on words, melodies that land just right, and that unmistakable way he has of slipping the ordinary into song without overdoing it.
