Bernard Lavilliers

Bernard Lavilliers returns to perform in Paris on March 4 and 5, 2027 at the Zénith de Paris, in the heart of Parc de la Villette (211 avenue Jean Jaurès, 75019). A singular figure of French song since the 1970s, he blends chanson and rock, opening his music to Latin American, Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms and to touches of jazz. A former factory worker and avid traveler, he feeds his lyrics with stories of ports, wandering and social realities, with a marked taste for urban and maritime atmospheres.

From O gringo (1980) to État d’urgence (1983), from Carnets de bord (2004) to Clair-obscur (2021), his albums trace a path faithful to narrative songwriting and to arrangements that embrace world music. On stage he revisits these trajectories, mixing well-known songs with more recent pieces, accompanied by a band that circulates rhythms and colours. An invitation to rediscover the craftsman of songs deeply concerned about the world, between storytelling, drifting and pulses from elsewhere, at the Zénith de Paris on March 4 and 5, 2027.
