Journey - Final Frontier Tour (An Evening With)

On March 12, 2026, Centre Vidéotron in Québec presents an evening with Journey, a band that has evolved from jazz‑tinged beginnings into a melodic rock language suited to large stages. Formed in San Francisco in 1973 by musicians who had played with Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch, Journey’s early records—Journey (1975), Look into the Future (1976) and Next (1977)—featured extended instrumental passages and progressive turns. The arrival of singer Steve Perry and the release of Infinity (1978) steered the group toward a more direct, song‑centred approach. In the early 1980s the band entered its AOR phase with Escape (1981) and Frontiers (1983), combining uptempo rockers and power ballads propelled by Neal Schon’s guitar work and layered keyboards.

After Raised on Radio (1986), the band’s chronology was marked by breaks and comebacks: Trial by Fire (1996) and Arrival (2001) reopened their studio activity. Since 2007, Neal Schon and keyboardist Jonathan Cain have anchored the lineup alongside singer Arnel Pineda, resulting in Revelation (2008), Eclipse (2011) and Freedom (2022). On the Final Frontier Tour, Journey offers a full evening with no opening act, presenting decades of material that range from their instrumental roots to anthemic, big‑chorus songs and slower numbers designed to showcase the vocals.
