Joshua Idehen

Joshua Idehen arrives at Le Hasard Ludique in Paris on March 14, 2026 with his solo project that sits between spoken word and nu-jazz. His track “Don’t You Give Up On Me” sets the tone: a call for patience, both toward others and oneself. A slam poet, magazine writer and versatile artist, he accompanies his words with a choreographed video that extends his stage writing—direct and sensitive.

Born in the United Kingdom to Nigerian parents before settling in Sweden, Idehen has lent his voice to standout projects on the London scene, from albums by Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming—both Mercury Prize nominees—to electronic collaborations with Daedelus and LV. On stage he blends verse, rhythms and electronic textures into pieces that move between intimate mantra and mutant groove.

This is a concert conceived for closeness, where speech and beat advance side by side, without ostentation, with an energy that speaks as much to the body as to the mind.
