Yves Jamait returns to the stage with an intimate project: Maxime and Me. As a teenager, his encounter with the work of Maxime Le Forestier upended his path; today he tells that connection through selected covers and his own songs. Between stories, nods and rearrangements, Jamait travels through the years by setting his words alongside Le Forestier’s, without imitation, with the forthright delivery and warmth that have accompanied him since his beginnings.
On stage he is joined by Michel Haumont, a reference in fingerpicking and a long-time collaborator of Le Forestier, and by Jérôme Broyer, a loyal partner who carries the arrangements with precision. Guitars, harmonies and silences fuse with the texts for an evening in which musical memory comes alive.
