Info
On November 27, 2027 in Newcastle upon Tyne, The Lightning Seeds bring their “Greatest Hits Tour” to Northumbria Students’ Union, with Ian Broudie at the center of a set built for singing along. What started in late-80s Liverpool as Broudie’s near-solo studio project quickly became a proper live band, and this show leans into that journey: crisp indie-pop songwriting, britpop-era melodic punch, and choruses designed to hit fast and stick.
Expect a run through the key 90s staples that shaped their reputation on the UK circuit, from The Life of Riley to Change, Lucky You, Perfect and You Showed Me, all carried by bright guitars and tidy, polished production. There’s also room for the broader Lightning Seeds story, including the collaborative side that fed their writing, and the era-defining Three Lions moment that still echoes far beyond the stage.
