Info
On 6 July 2027, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra to Aylesbury Waterside Theatre for a night built around the piano, the groove, and that big-band punch. Known since the late ’70s for moving between rhythm and blues, boogie-woogie, swing and rock’n’roll, Holland plays with a fast, talkative touch: riffs that bounce, runs that sparkle, and a sense of momentum that keeps the tunes rolling.
With his Orchestra, he leans into brass-heavy arrangements where the horns don’t just decorate the music, they drive it, answering the piano and pushing the band forward. Expect a set shaped like a live revue: tight ensemble sections, room for solos, and that warm, dance-floor energy that sits somewhere between club R&B and old-school swing. It’s less about nostalgia than about letting these classic styles hit with real volume and real precision, on a proper stage in Aylesbury.
