Info
Jools Holland brings his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to the Princess Theatre in Torquay on June 27, 2027, for a night built around piano-driven rhythm and blues and the kind of boogie-woogie energy that’s been his signature since the late ’70s.
Known first as Squeeze’s founding pianist before carving out his own lane, Holland plays with a quick, swinging touch that nods to blues, rock’n’roll and big-band traditions. With the Orchestra, the sound opens up: punchy brass, tight arrangements, plenty of room for the groove, and that live momentum that turns classic forms into something immediate. Expect a set that moves fast between rolling piano lines and full-ensemble blasts, in the spirit of his long-running touring band and the records that map his taste for sex, jazz and rock’n’roll without ever getting stuck in nostalgia.
