Info
Grandbrothers visit PLT - Theater Heerlen in Heerlen on March 18, 2027, with their idiosyncratic view on piano music. The German-Swiss duo, pianist Erol Sarp and engineer/programmer Lukas Vogel, builds live a bridge between neoclassical, experimentation and electronics, without hiding the piano behind laptops or sample packs. Their secret lies in an amplified grand piano with an electromagnetic-mechanical system developed by Vogel, through which they make the strings and hammers function as percussion, texture and a rhythm machine.
Do not expect a classical concert, but a set that gradually builds from repetitive motifs, tight pulses and subtle melodies. Grandbrothers let minimalism collide with electronic layers and cinematic atmosphere, making each piece feel at once precise and human. Live you hear how that mechanism breathes: from whisper-quiet strikes to driving passages that sweep the room into a hypnotic flow."}]} } } }}}}}_o}
