Info
Ocean Grove lands in Dynamo, Eindhoven on 26 February 2027 with their idiosyncratic 'Odd World Music': a hybrid of nu metal, hardcore and grunge, but also just as much melodic rock with pop and hip-hop details. From the Melbourne suburbs, the band has been crafting a sound around singer Dale Tanner and drummer/producer Sam Bassal, where heavy grooves and electronic textures continually intersect.
Live, you can expect full, tight riffs and hooks that linger, with a '90s vibe as an undercurrent rather than dwelling in nostalgia. From the early energy of the EPs Outsider and Black Label to the expansive approach on The Rhapsody Tapes and the later records Flip Phone Fantasy and Up In The Air Forever: Ocean Grove plays with contrasts, switches gears quickly, and keeps the tension high. A set that pushes as hard as it leaves room for atmosphere and melody.
