Info
On March 16, 2027, Mamas Gun will drop in at the Patronaat in Haarlem with a set that glides smoothly between modern soul, pop, and funk, with a nod to seventies R&B. Around lead singer and guitarist Andy Platts, the London-based band builds songs that rely on tight grooves, warm vocal harmonies, and arrangements in which a hint of soft rock also seeps through.
Live, Mamas Gun feels like a band that keeps sharpening its material: ballads and mid-tempo numbers get room to breathe, while the more funk-oriented tracks push the energy up. Don’t expect a show full of tricks, but a band that leans on timing and ensemble playing, with melodies that linger and a sound that can be as song-driven as it is danceable.
