Info
Aabenraa Live presents Claus Hempler at Nygadehuset on Saturday, May 8, 2027.
Since the release of Kufferten fuld af mursten in 2019, Claus Hempler has performed across the country. Already in his youth, Claus Hempler established his name as a singer in the band Fielfraz. Since then he has released a handful of clearly defined solo albums, which earned him a reputation as a style-setting singer and a musician’s musician.
It seemed as though this mature, established singer emerged as a new name with the 2019 release. For the first time he wrote in Danish, and it gave new life to the music. Songs such as Jeg drømmer om en sang, Op, and Navnet er Hempler are streamed and still frequently played on the radio. It is with these songs, and perhaps more new material will find a place on the setlist, that Hempler and his band will embark on a tour.
Claus Hempler received in January 2020 two awards at Steppeulven (Album of the Year and Lyricist of the Year). In addition, in 2020 he also won two Carl prizes (Composer of the Year and Lyricist of the Year) and is furthermore the recipient of both the Dan Turèll Medal and the F.P. Jacs Mindelegat.
Seating. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
