Info
Fujiya & Miyagi land in Manchester on February 11, 2027 at YES for a set built on their trademark mix of electronics, motorik pulse and minimalist pop. Born in Brighton and led by David Best and Steve Lewis, the band has always played with repetition: clipped spoken lines, supple basslines, and metronomic grooves that feel as close to post-punk as they do to dance and nu-disco.
Expect a live show where precision does the heavy lifting, turning their ironic, tightly wound tracks into something physical and steady, more forward-driving than flashy. With a catalog that runs from the early days of Electro Karaoke in the Negative Style through key albums like Transparent Things and Lightbulbs, and on to later releases such as Flashback and Slight Variations, this gig is a good chance to catch how their sound shifts across eras while staying instantly recognizable.
