Info
On March 13, 2027, Shygirl brings her 'Swallow!' show to the Columbiahalle in Berlin. The South London artist has, since the mid-2010s, stood for a sound that blends rap, club music, and experimental pop—sometimes half-sung, sometimes spoken, then again with precise rap phrasing, always atop beats drawn from grime, electronic, and deconstructed club. Live, one can expect her to play with these opposites of tension and bodily presence: hard, angular textures meeting more melodic moments, without the drive of the dancefloor letting up. Shaped by her work with Sega Bodega and the orbit of her Nuxxe cosmos, Shygirl has in recent years swung between more introspective hues and direct club energy—from her debut 'Nymph' to her more recent, dancefloor-focused phase. In Berlin, it will be a set that hops between underground and pop formats, without committing to one.
