On February 13, 2027 in Metz, Haunting The Chapel welcomes two heavyweights of the American extreme scene: The Black Dahlia Murder and Fuming Mouth. On one side, The Black Dahlia Murder unfurls its melodic death metal, fast and surgical, built on razor-sharp riffs, sharp tempo changes, and a sense of the chorus hidden beneath the fury. After the passing of Trevor Strnad, the band moves forward with Brian Eschbach on vocals and the return of Ryan Knight, for a new live-focused era, in the continuity of albums such as Nocturnal, Nightbringers, or Servitude.
On the other hand, Fuming Mouth tightens the approach with a nerve-wracking blend of death metal and hardcore punk. Massive riffs, constant tension, concise formats: the Massachusetts-based band, led by Mark Whelan, alternates between frontal and dark, notably on The Grand Descent and Last Day of Sun. A perfect combination for a night where brutality plays out as much in the details as in the impact.
