Anne Dorte Michelsen will celebrate her 50th anniversary in 2027, and this will be marked by a handful of summer concerts with the band at ARKEN Museum for Contemporary Art.
The concert will be a unified celebration of one of Danish music's most prominent and versatile songwriters, an artist who over five decades has written songs that have taken root in Danish consciousness. From "Snebær og kastanjer", "Før eller siden", "Sig du kan li' mig", "Indianer", "Bruge og bruges" to "Jeg har lagt mine våben" Anne Dorte Michelsen has created songs that embrace the intimate, the socially critical, and the poetic.
Her katalog spænder from generationssange and pop classics to contemporary satires such as "Handyman", "En lykkelig familie" and "Der er altid noget at gøre for en husmor". The anniversary concert gathers communal songs and more intimate moments, where Anne Dorte Michelsen's distinctive view on relationships, contemporary life and human fragility stands out. There is both humor, bite, warmth and contemplation here. Audiences can look forward to a concert where both the well-known hits and the quieter songs are performed.
