Info
On March 26, 2027, Wende will be on stage at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht with a show that can just as well be a concert as a theatre evening. Since the 2000s she has been building her own universe in which chanson, pop and rock intertwine, with that characteristic tension arc of musical theatre and performance. Those who know her from her early cabaret and chanson records know how she can carry a story; later she shifted more toward a personal sound with electronics and a strong live energy. Therefore, do not expect a straight set with only songs back-to-back, but an evening in which text, rhythm and acting alternate, and her voice remains central throughout. In Utrecht, that hybrid character comes into its own most fully: intimate where it needs to be, fierce where it can be, and always with that drive to stretch the form without losing the audience.
