Info
On December 5, 2026, Yölintu brings its long-running Finnish iskelmä and dance-pop mix to Wilhelm Public House in Mikkeli. Active since the early 1990s, the band has built a sound that sits right between folk-tinged singalongs, melodic pop hooks, and the steady pulse of the Finnish dance hall tradition. Fronted by singer (and accordionist) Simo Silmu, Yölintu has kept moving through lineup changes without losing the core idea: direct storytelling, big refrains, and arrangements made to carry a room.
Expect a set that pulls from decades of releases, from the late-90s momentum of Kaikki kohdallaan and Tositarkoituksella to later chapters like Nyt ja aina and Maailma on kauneimmillaan. It’s the kind of concert where the songs are built to be shared in real time: warm melodies, a sentimental edge, and that practical, dance-ready drive that has kept Yölintu on the road and close to its audience for years.
