Info
On October 31, 2026, Wende will perform at Metropool in Enschede with a show that is as much a concert as a theatre experience. She has moved for years between chanson, pop and rock, with a penchant for cabaret and a distinctly personal, theatrical tension. Do not expect a straightforward, no-frills set, but an evening in which voice and text are central, and in which she shifts effortlessly between intimate and expansive. Since her beginnings in the early 2000s, after training at the Amsterdam Academy for Cabaret, Wende has built a path that gradually shifted from Francophone chanson and cabaret toward more personal work with electronics and sharper pop and rock edges. Albums such as No. 9, Last Resistance, Mens en Sterrenlopen demonstrate that evolution: Dutch alongside other influences, synth textures, and a performance that is always part of the show. In Enschede, all of that comes together in a live experience that draws you in, unadorned.
