Info
On February 19, 2027, Herman van Veen will perform at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven with an evening that drifts somewhere between a concert, cabaret, and musical theatre. Van Veen has been developing his own form since the 1960s: songs that lean on language and timing, stories that are nearly acted out, and music that remains intimate as easily as it broadens into richer arrangements. You hear his training at the Utrecht Conservatory in the way violin and voice alternate, never neatly fitting into a single box.
Expect recognizable lines from a long discography, from Signalen and Blauwe plekken to later albums such as Kersvers, Vallen of springen and Dat kun je wel zien, dat is hij. His international outlook is also present in the set: Van Veen has performed and recorded in several languages, with a strong bond to the German-speaking audience. In Eindhoven, all of this comes together in a show where song, performance and storytelling continually take turns.
