Editors come in a different shape for this matinee show: a stripped-back live set built around songs from their new album Surface, Echo & Sound, plus key tracks from a catalogue that’s been shifting for two decades. On 5 November 2026 at Jacaranda Baltic in Liverpool, the Birmingham band led by Tom Smith trades big production for something closer and more direct, putting the focus on writing, tension and that unmistakable baritone.
Since The Back Room and An End Has a Start, Editors have balanced dark guitars, tight rhythms and a growing taste for synth-driven atmospheres. This reduced format is a chance to hear how those eras connect, from early post-punk edge to their more electronic, brooding pop direction, with arrangements that leave space for the lyrics, the pulse, and the band’s dynamics to do the heavy lifting.
